  • Salvation | Cedar Creek Baptist

Salvation So you want to know about Salvation? Good. It is very important, and very easy. Just follow the steps below. You wont have to send money, or do anything embarrasing or painful. Jesus has already done everything that needed to be done. First, you must believe that the Bible is the word of God, inspired by the Holy Spirit, recorded by eye witnesses to the accounts contained in its pages. It isnt a story book, or a drama; It is the eyewitness account of people who lived in the days of its writtings. Second, you must understand that you have sinned. Even if you are a good person, and feel you might not have done anything wrong, or maybe not a lot, it doesnt matter. You have done things that are wrong in the site of a holy God, and you must understand this, and confess that you are a sinner. (Romans 3:10--As it is written, there is none righteous, no, not one)( Romans3:23--For all have sinned and come short of the glory of God;) God is holy. He hates sin. Sin has consequences: (Romans 6:23--For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life, through Jesus Christ our Lord)(Romans 14:12--So then every one of us shall give account of himself to God) Next, you must believe that Jesus came to earth, and died to pay the price for your sins. (Romans 5:8-- But God commendeth his love toward us, in that while we were yet sinners, Christ dies for us) But Jesus defeated death, and rose again to prove he was Gods son. (Romans 10:9--That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved) Then, you ask God to save you. Its that simple. (Romans 10:13-- For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved) Here is what we refer to as the sinners prayer. You can pray this prayer, or make up your own. If you are sincere, God will here your prayer: Dear God. I know I am a sinner, and I dont deserve to go to heaven. I cannot save myself. I believe that Jesus is your son, and he died for my sins. I believe that he arose from the dead to save me. Lord, I now invite you into my heart. I accept you as my savior, by faith.I now place all my trust in you alone for my salvation. I repent of all my sins, and ask you to forgive me and make me your child as you promised. Help me to follow you, and serve you Lord. I give all of myself to you, in your name, Lord Jesus. Amen. Here are some other verses that might help too: (Mark 16:16--...he that believeth not shall be damned.) (John 3:36--He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life: and he that believeth not the Son shall not see life; but the wrath of God abideth on him) (John 14:6--Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me. ) If you have accepted Jesus as your savior, congratulations! If you still arent sure and you would like to talk to someone, maybe ask a few more questions, just send us a message. We will try our best to biblically answer all your questions. If you would like to visit our church, we would love to have you stop by. If you want to follow through with baptism, send us a message. Our pastor and deacons will talk to you, and explain everything, biblically, that needs to happen before and after. We would like to hear from you. But most importantly, we want you to believe in Jesus, accept His free gift of salvation, and take up your cross and follow Him. Please send us a message if you accepted Jesus as your savior, or if you have questions or concerns. We wont Spam you, sell your email, or contact you for money or membership. We will only contact you if you ask us to. Success! Message received. Send

  • About Us | Cedar Creek Baptist

About us We are a loving, caring, missionary minded group of born again believers. We are small in number, but big in our love for Jesus and the Great Commission. We teach the Bible, not political correctness or tolerance. Here is a brief summary of our beliefs: The Scriptures: The Holy Bible was written by men divinely inspired by God, and is the record of God's revelation of Himself to man. It is inerrent and infallible in its original manuscript, which is to be taken as verbally inspired. We use only the (authorized) King James Version in all the teaching and preaching ministries. God: There is only one true and living God. He is an intelligent, spiritual, and personal being. He is the Creator, Redeemer, Preserver and the Ruler of the universe. The eternal God reveals Himself to us as Father, Son and Holy Ghost, with distinct personal attributes, but without division of nature or essence of being. Salvation: Salvation is a free gift from God, bought by Jesus with His death and resurrection. It cannot be lost, or delivered by any means other than the biblical plan of salvation (see button below to read more). It can not be granted by water immersion or sprinkling, it can not be granted through the prayers of loved ones. It can not be accepted after death. It can not be bought, because the price has already been paid. Missions: We support many missionary groups throughout the world. We believe in the Great Commission. It is the duty and privilege of every follower of Christ, and every church of the Lord Jesus Christ to endeavor to make disciples of all nations. It is the duty of every child of God to seek constantly to win the lost to Christ by personal effort and by all other methods in harmony with the Gospel of Christ. Read More
